INTRODUCING…

Key Details: At its core, NOSH: What My Sabbatical Taught Me About Connection, One Lunch at a Time, is a memoir about human connection and how time is a precious resource. For one year from 2018-2019, Heather had lunch with a different person each week. The initial goal was to avoid isolation in her sabbatical with the fifty-two lunches. However, Heather quickly learned that the person across the table had their own unique stories, lives and history.

Some people she knew all her life, others a brief period of time.

Unscripted, the lunches were simply an opportunity to sit across from another human being and enjoy the time doing what humans have done for thousands of years – talk to each other. Of course, the lunches were filled with laughter, tears, deep listening and silly moments.

In this humorous, heart-warming memoir, readers will discover that regardless of their background, everyone has people in their lives like the people in this book.
